Default final gear application questions

As some of you know i just got an s2k 2 weeks ago. I plan on changing the final gear for a harder pull right after my suspension gets done. I've done alot of searching on ht and han and i find alot of threads not answering my question which is this: What is the difference between the 4.44, 4.57, 4.77 gears? Which gear works well with 2002 on a n/a setup and on a fi setup. My initial plan with the car is to stick n/a for prolly the first year/ 2 years until i get the car paid down enough to go comptech supercharger. city and highway i would say is 50/50. Which gears make more pull on different setups. Thanks in advance for explanations it's greatly appriciated oh and if anyone knows of a thread already explaining this just post it for me.

I'm running the 4.57's and love them. Same style as you it sound, initially running N/A but eventually gonna go FI. From what people have told me, the 4.77's are similar in the quarter NA primarly because of the extra shift required.

Noticeable difference. If gearing is too short, can always run taller tires to balance things out.

Thanks! I'm quite happy with my 4.77's. I would go the same route again if i had the choice. I was thinking the 5.1's but I would def top out on some tracks which would be hurt my lap times

Yeah, sorry to confuse. From what a couple people with the 4.77's told me... stock'ish power the 4.77 and 4.57's run similar at a track just because of the extra shift required. The 4.57's hit the top of 4th in a quarter with near stock power trapping just over 100.

Just what I've heard, wish I had first hand experience... anyone have a slip of the 4.77 with stock power?

I'd run 4.77s on supercharger, turbo, NA setup.

Don't have too much experience in 1/4 mile times, but I do know that driving the car on the streets is easier since less shifting is required for passing/accelerating and on road circuits, lap times are generally quicker due to acceleration advantages. I'd run 5.1s if I got my hands on a set.

Install is easy. I recommend taking off the bumper, it isn't necessary though. I did cut slits in the the faux cover to let in some more air.

they are no snap it, you would have to cut it out. I used a dremel and its very clean. No one can tell I have the slits cut out unless I tell them. Its def louder than stock, esp in vtec
