Well ya i know that replacing the motor mounts will help with the wheel hop....but i really dont have like $500 to put some Hasports in it...but these inserts apparently do the same thing for like $30....any info on what they actually are?

thats awesome, and exactly what im talking about...i work at a Honda dealership, but im not a Tech....so they do stuff for me all the time for free. But exactly how much labor is involved...because i dont want to start it one night and have tickets pile up because my car is on the lift...

Energy Suspension Motor Mounts arent the whole mounts. Hasports are the whole mount. ESMM's for short look like they're just bushings/inserts that's why they're ~$30. As for the work you have to get under your car, drop the subframe.. ehh well lets just say there's some work involved.

It takes less time to install the ESMM's than it does to do a header. When I got mine done it took the guys like an hour and a half and this was just at a mod meet out in PA when I was living there. You can get the inserts for 26 bucks at http://www.clubrsx.com they also offer full mounts there as well for around 230 or so, I believe.

ESMM's are highly recommended if you put in a header as well, as I'm sure most of you know. They're a great addition. There is also the Ingalls Engine Damper which does the same thing as the inserts but it's got a longer life and it's more dependable. The inserts are great for a quick fix but they will wear out over time if you drive hard or do alot of track driving or drag. But for 26 bucks, who can complain. Also, get an alignment done after you put them in because, as was stated, you have to drop the subframe to get them in so be sure to do alignment afterward.

i disagree with part of this. Polyurethan mounts will last infinatly longer than the stock mounts. under track use they wont last as long...but if this is mainly a daily driver the mounts will most likely last for quite some time. and it definatly will outlive the damper. i had adamper first and it went bad in like 3 months. maybe that one was just a bad one tho...

how long does it take you to install a header man?????

As a daily driver then yes, the mounts will last for a good long time. Not sure why your damper went out so fast, but that's the first I've heard of that happening. And yes, the inserts will outlast the mounts, that's for sure. But that's why they're made, to reinforce the stock mounts since the inserts don't replace the stock rubber ones.

As for the header, I've never installed one. I remember though that at the mod meet (keep in mind, this is without a lift, only a jack and jack stands) the guys working on the car next to mine started on the header before the work on my car and they still weren't done when the inserts were put in my car. Though in their defense I believe the pipe was giving them a problem of some sort. I think it was a megan header with test pipe. And they knew what they were doing, it's not like it was their first time. They all talked about how much of a bitch the inserts were the first time they put em in though and since they'd done it once already it went alot smoother on my car. *Shrug* Just stating what i've heard/seen before.

Also, the way you worded your reply makes it sound like I was saying the stock mounts were better or something...absolutely not. I don't think I mentioned it in my original post but it's almost a necessity to get them if you get a race header (or just about any aftermarket header?) or if you drive your card harder than the average person.

I have over 125K on my ES inserts.

Best mod for the $ for our POS, hands down.

.75 to 1 hour to install

Yeah, and you don't have to remove the subframe to install them. Therefore an alignment is not necessary. Just mark and loosen the bolts closest to the front mounts. It will drop down enough to get the ESMM's in there.
