i was driving then all of a sudden my gauge cluster lights dont work. also the ac/heater unit lights dont work ether. but the gauge cluster it self works. just not the lights. i also checked all the fueses under the steering wheel and under the hood. they are all good. also checked dimmer switch too. no luck.

just had that happen to me had to put new dimmer switch in

 

so i need a new dimmer switch? any other suggestions?

how do check if power is going in but not coming out ?

 

My first thought is that it is your dimmer switch. I assume you know where that is. If you know someone with a simular car, Try theirs and see if it works or go to a junk yard and pay $2 for a used one. I'm 99% sure you need to replace the dimmer switch.
