driverside axle stuck -- help!
So I've been having quite a day trying to replace my driverside axle. Hub nut and shock fork nut came off like a breeze. Ball joint sucked ***, used a pickle fork and ended up ripping the boot and it still didn't work. Finally used the we-todd-did method with the 1/2" rachet and worked like a charm.
Now I moved everything out of the way and tried to pry the axle out of the intermediary shaft. It's not moving anywhere! Am I missing something? Are there screws I have to take off?
I read somewhere that you have to take the three screws holding in the intermediary shaft out and just pull out the driverside axle w/ the intermediary shaft and then bang out the axle. Is this true?

You don't have to remove the axle with the intermediate shaft attached.
I always use a air hammer/chissel to pop axle past the snap clips. Works like a dream.
Or just beat it with a hammer and a prybar. They have always eventually came out.

you have to take out the 3 bolts holding the shaft on....they're right by your oil filter. Once you do that, you're fine. I used a prybar to get it out and that worked fine.
The easiest way i found to take the CV out was to pull the top control arm out and the pin holding the strut onto the lower control arm, then pull the brake line off of the edge of the hub assembly. After doing this, you can swing it out of the way further and are then able to pull the axle out cleanly and easily. I replaced my passanger side CV in 22 min last time i attempted it!

I took off the intermediate shaft via the three bolts and pull the whole thing out..... then took a BFH and pounded the axle out......... thanks for the help!
