Taillight short (i think)

ok my back right taillight has now gone out twice in 3 months. it stays lit when i turn my lights on but when i hit the brakes it dies and i have the BRAKE LAMP signal on in my dash.

does anyone know if this is a bad ground or a short?
and if you know then any insight to how i would fix this?

Check to see if water is getting in there.

anyone know where teh fuse box is for the taillights?
or have any other ideas why its out, cause i got pulled over tonite for it (but didnt recieve a ticket)
