Default Gap between Upper Exhaust manifold and lower manifold leaking air

I have a stock 00 type R header. I changed my oil pan today and therefore had to remove the lower exhaust header to get to the pan. I assembled the header as normal when finished, and when i started my car it sounded noticeably louder. The intersection of where the upper exhaust header meets the lower exhaust header is leaking air. I torqued down all the bolts as tight as I could and it still made noise. I drove the car around and let the metal expand hoping the two components would bond. It worked somewhat, and I no longer feel exhaust air leaking. My question is whether I am going to run into this problem again in the future. Is there a gasket I could purchase or something to bond the two pieces together better ??

Yeah, there is a gasket that is supposed to go there.
