Default Is there 2 different front gsr sway bar setups

I have a gsr front sway bar and LCa's and the bar itself has sideway mouting endlink hole and then they connect to the lca via a 90 degree endlink . Here is a pic to explain this first setup. I believe this is from a 99-01 gsr .

And then there is another setup to where a bolt goes straight down in the lca and the sway bar has a busging on the bottom and top and the bolt goes up through the sway bar. I believe this was used on 94-98 gsr's . Can someone explain why they made defferent versions and which is a better setup . Btw this is going on a 95 cx along with asr rear brace and itr rear sway. Here is the pics of the second setup

I believe GSR's and ITR use the first type of endlink you listed and LS, GS, RS use the second type.

BTW my 98 GSR uses the first type.

I believe this is correct. To my knowledge, all GS-Rs (94-01) used the exact same front swaybar, the one in the first pics. It uses a ball joint on one end; I imagine this is better because it has less movement than regular rubber bushings. The RS/LS had a different sway bar, but it's fairly easily replaced with the GS-R one. It's the last one in the pics, and has the more conventional sway bar linkages.

The other big difference between the GS-R/ITR and LS/RS bars is the size: 24mm vs. 22mm.
