Default if i get DCRH, will it throw engine light?

ima noob to DC5 and honda all together...and im looking to purchase exhaust, and have decided on the DC race header and HKS hi-power cat-back, i am wondering tho, since the RH replaces the cat, will it throw any lights? ... lights=MAD power loss... trying to avoid this, whats the best way to have a header and not get a check engine? help!

thats why you go to kragen and buy a defouler so it will get rid of the cel

Yes, you will throw a cel as stated before.

And you have gotten two out of the three solutions already.

#1- O2 DeFouler- moves the 02 sensor further away from the exhaust flow

#2- Caspers o2 sim, electronically fools the ECU to think everything is properly functioning.

#3- and by far the best, K-Pro!!! Disable OBD-2 and call it a day. Plus you get all the awesome features of K-pro.

Its 995 straight from Hondata, what you do is ship your current ECU to them. And they ship it back after it has been programed. 1500 is for a brand new ECU and K-Pro.

Go to the downloads section of the website and download the user manual. Also, take a look at the screen shots. K-pro is not for the beginner although a novice could get by. Its an amazing ecu to say the least and most tuners are familiar with it. Take it to a pro if you are worried.

some people with k-pro and IHE pull around 200....i cant tell you from personal experience tho...i havent been dynoed.

messing with the cat of a car is a federal fine punishable to up to 5k or something of the like....but do any of us care, does anyone care, no...its kinda like having HID on a car that didnt come with it from the factory...your not suppose to do that either....does anyone care....no

To be honest kpro is only worth it if you go FI or have some serious NA mods. The ECU reflash is like what, 500? You also have to be dyno'd and kpro tuned....you think 1500 is expensive wait till you start changing your mods and tuning and retuning kpro...lol better learn how to DIY or be ready to PAY TO PLAY.

just to give you a glipse on kpro tuning, the average price for you to rent a dyno and a professional tuner is around 180/hr +

Cheapest is defouler (3-8 bucks), 02 sim (50+) and then K-pro. Defouler works for some, sim almost always works, and no doubt k-pro works for everybody.

thats the key. you may pass emissions but when they look under your car they will see that you do not have a cat. thats a big no no. kpro is worth it if you learn the ins-and outs of tuning your own car. or have big bucks to pay for dyno time. a reflash is the same but already mapped out. so much cheaper than kpro.

Not to mention with the reflash you will still get a check engine light.
