I need some help and some opinions on some exhausts. I have a 98 Base Prelude and I'm going to be adding an exhaust in the next day or two. I am looking at the DC Sports cat-back, the Tanabe Hyper Medalion and the Apexi Dunk.

Here are the questions I need answered in order to make a good decision: Does anyone have these installed? How are the power gains? Are any of them ricey sounding or really loud? Which can be equipped with silencers? Will a Dunk exhaust for a 5G SH fit a Base model?

So many questions, so little time! *PLEASE* help before these aren't for sale anymore!

I would recommend the Thermal exhaust, I just got mine and love it. It has a nice deep noise from 3-5k and isn't fart canny. It sounds close to stock at all other rpm ranges, plus looks close to stock

 

I don't think you can fit an SH catback on a base and vise versa....because the piping is shorter for the SH..maybe around 2 and some inches.

 

no the sh will not fit on base the sh is shorter i suggest saving and buying the mugen twinloop i firts bought the greddy sp and that was fine but i recently bought a mugen twin loop and there nothing that will compare nice quit sound but still enough to notice and nice smaller sized tip
