Default Using my cruise control=bad gas mileage

Like the title says when I use my cruise control I get horrible gas mileage. Any ideas why, or what to check? It just doesn't make sense. BTW i have a stock 92 LS....thanks

Hmmm... very odd. I use it on the highways here and I would have to say i get pretty damn good gas mileage. I wonder if it's not something else like leaky injectors or other related problems with fuel consumption.

In my accord, I hooked up a Vtec light because I was unsure of when it actually engaged (96 ex Sedan), which its anywhere from 2500-3000 dependant on the circumstances (as if anyone cares).

Anyway, my friend noticed that when the cruise is on, anytime there is a lil slope the cruise really mashes on it and actually engages Vtec.

My point is, the computers gonna use more gas to get up a hill than you will, so ust use it on flats and for the hills, just ease off the throttle a lil.
