that is because i preferred NOT to, i like the bare look . . yaddamean . caveman's FG is also black. . so his looks good for his car.. i think it would look wierd for mine.

i'll have more of what happened to my ****, but here is a pic of them on the car

sorry, no day time pics of mine - i had them on only for the night after realizing that i need to take them apart and rethink the retro process

and how fuked up my cutoff was

these headlights are not easy to retrofit only because all you can control from the stock headlamp assembly is up/down

so i'm going to spending time making something up where i can independently control up/down - left/right - tilt

sorry mike, i'ma gonna be hangin on to the extra Si headlights, i just bought the one i was borrowing from pax, so i'll either sell them when i'm completely done. . . or by another set of HIDs, retro those and sell them

EDIT: here is caveman's retro

DAMN SJ thats a little whack. The left pro need to go counter clockwise. I think you just need to work on the driverside. Pass looks okay, buy needs to be raised.

Here is my semi-detailed on TOV. http://www.vtec.net/forums/one...22931 . You need to make sure your holes are a little bigger than the bolts, so you can rotate before installing. Mine arnt perfect but they are good enough. Best thing too do is pull your car back 15-20 ft.
Then align it that way. but , with the cover off. once it is stright, put it back together.

Look at the back of my set w/ the bulb. the notches are straight w/ the bottom. Thats how I can tell if it is somewhat straight. PM me if you have any questions

Here is a photo of both 06' Halogen and TSX HID. The driverside of the TSX is now raised up and even with the otherside.

Now what lighting would you rather have!!!

Did either of you guys try the E46 shroud in there to see if it would cover the TSX base? It looks like the projector fits in there perfectly. The only question is which shroud to use.

The only thing with either the A4 or the E46 is theres too much room on the fender side for the shroud to cover up the projector. A4 wont fit, I havn't tried the E46.

Thats why I had to make my own. Which I am please with the results.

yes - only difference is the ring around the DRL/hi-beam

smoked = fg1
amber = fg2
chrome = fg1/fg2 (remove the ring around it)

yea there are the same, if you really want the amber ring around the high beam you can order a set of si headlights and use your ex headlights as a practice set.

Question-- does anyone know if you can just purchase that plastic peice that goes around the hi beam for the si, so u dont have to buy a whole si headlight?

Yah, he's right. They don't sell inner-headlight parts. That would be cool if they did though. It'd make it easier to get projectors and shrouds.

well you gottta remember its still just a civic, navagation or not. if the accord doesn't come with it, they most certainly will not offer that on a civic

hey the svt focus was offered with them and they sure didn't offer if for any other model, especially not the mustang. Do the ford gt's even come with them?

And I also think that the mazda3 was offered with them before the mazda 6 and i know that they just come on the mazdaspeed6 for sure.
