Default tranny codes

I bought a tranny and i was just woundering what it came out of. Its only marking on it is L4 stamp, it does have LSD in it but i want to know what kid of car its from, by the way there is no vin tag on it or holes from where one used to be eather and it was not grinded off to.

no, the only writing on it is L4.

any one know, its a lower final drive at 70mph its about 3,700 rpm compared to 4,000
