how do u run open headers? what do u do and what gains do u get?

You leave ONLY the header on, NO exhaust.

And the thing you get most.. is Way too much noise.

lol, open header is just header no exhaust,

With you bein in cali, I'd say its hard to have an exhuast from what I'v read,
Open header I give you 3 min before you get a ticket

As said before, it means that you run an exhaust header with nothing attached to the end of it. The exhaust routes right to the atmosphere after it gets routed away from the motor/car.

Unless you have a pretty high powered vehicle, you won't have any gains except a VERY loud car. If you try it with a stock to moderately stock car, you will lose power, generate some CEL's to slow it down even more, and probably burn some valves in the process.
