Alright I am not sure what to call it but its like a whole lot of air moving, lol. Its extremely loud when you first start it up, but goes down as the car warms up. It sounds like it is coming through the intake, so it may be somewhere in the intake manifold or somewhere there abouts. I took a video so you guys can hear it, don't mind the puddle under the car, I know.

Not so sure about a metal grinding noise, its more of a air moving kinda noise. I do need to adjust my idle down a lil bit.
ya i guess the video helps....but unless your actually there..so many ghay interference comes through the audio so its hard to tell that way....maybe something got sucked up like a piece of the air filter or something and its stuck in a wierd spot and making a special noise as the air flows around it...lol...i dont know...could be anything...ull think one day its coming from the intake then it seems like the bottom end then it sounds like its coming from the tranny...good luck
Try taking off the intake and cleaning it out. And drop your idle to about 800....you sound like it's at like 1300...At least you don't got the "Iavc Warrble" So try that and see if the intake noise comes down.

The reason our hondas do that is because the fluid running through it is also going through a sensor that acts like an autochoke it hold the rpms higher up to warm up the fluids and then dropps it back down to the right Idle rpm you set with the screw on tb. That noise is not from just being cold, it might be b/c his car has a high idle or there's something stuck in the tubing/filter of his intake. At least the FI motors have something.... my 87 doesn't even have a choke, so you gotta hold the rpms....hehehe...
hope you get rid of that problem/annoyance
