Default how to get power to the ECU to operate.....

okay ive been searching and found nothing yet so i need some advice on my race chasis...... the car has no dash and ignition so im hooking up switches to the starter, fuel pump,fan,ect.ect. but how do i get power to the ECU to make it operate the injectors and all the sensors when cranking the motor???do i have to hook up a check egine light too?? if so, how do i go on doing that? plus im using a civic obd2 one piece engine harness along with the obd2>obd1 jumper (pigtail) for my p28 ECU.......

Run power from battery to starter.

Then you need to make your own fuse box.

Run power from battery into main power fuse in your fuse box.

Run power from your main fuse to all the other fuses in your box.

First thing's first, run power from alternator fuse (80A) to your alternator.

All the other fuses need to be ran into an Electrical Load Detector (ELD) before reaching their final destination.

Run a (15A) fuse from fuse box to the PFM-FI main relay.

Next fuse (15A) goes to the ECU.

Next fuse goes to cooling fan relay, then so on and so on.

It's best to make two boxes, one for the interior components and one for the engine. Interior items are lighting, radio, etc.

I'm just going to assume that you're using a non-honda ignition system.

does the engine harness suppose to have a power line to the alternator already?
