Anyone have any experience with Bilstein monotube shocks???
I'm looking to get a set along with some custom rate Hypercoil springs (400/325# F/R for a '93 Accord) and I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with them. I know all the uber-JDM and Omnipower full coilovers use monotube shocks, and over all monotubes are better than dual tubes because of the seal between the gas and the oil, and the better heat dissipation...
Again, anyone have any experience with them? The whole setup is gonna be $599 shipped from eshocks.com...
Also, are stock shocks rebuildable?

I would not be so quick to say that one design is better than the other. Both have inherent advantages and disadvantages, and there are good and bad examples of both. Simply put, you should not base your purchase solely on whether or not the damper is mono or twintube design.
I have Bilsteins on my GSR, which is now a 98% track car. I bought the HD models for street use, but for the stiffer track springs I had to get them re-valved directly from Bilstein, which cost $55 each. IMO, the HD are too soft for the 400/325 spring rates.
The HD are really OEM replacement shocks. Bilsten also makes SP (sport) shocks for certain cars, and I would make sure to get those if they make them for your Accord. But I doubt it since they don't even make them for the GSR (only for ITR but needs different rear LCAs). If not, then I would try KYB AGX, as the probably can handle stiffer springs. Koni are a good choice too but of course it will bring your costs up. The downside of the Bilsteins is that they are not adjustable.
