H22 CRX Need help
No its not another how do i put a H22 into a crx thread. The H22 is already in there, and ive searched and googled for hours trying to solve my problem.
You can check out some of the pics here http://www.imagestation.com/al...95512
The car is a 91 crx si. Im using a Locash obd-0 to obd-1 harness for the ecu and distributor and a D16A6 engine harness. I pulled the engine out of a swapped 92 prelude, its a JDM H22A. From what I've read the JDM H22's came with internal coil distributors, but mine is an external. It may have been changed but I dont know for sure. I dont have the H22 harness to get the p.ug for the external coil either.
I need to find out if I can either switch to an internal coil or how to interface the external coil with the crx harness.
Are there any usdm distributors that have an internal coil that will work with my h22?
Ive been told I could probably re-route the wires from the crx harness to the external coil but I'm kinda stumped on that.
Any help is appreciated.

I'm not understanding you, I thought all honda's come with internal coils inside the dizzy? Correct me if I'm wrong, the external coil is an aftermarket idea for hondas. So that leads me to believe that you will need to switch to the internal coil, but that's just a stock dizzy. So i'm not sure what your asking, or I'm confused on the internal vs. external coil concept.
its an oem distributor, but it has an external coil. I need to find out either how to make the external coil work with my stock crx harness, or what distributor has an internal coil that will work on my h22
If you're going to run it internal coil you need an internal H22 Dizzy (as far as I know dizzies for other cars won't bolt on). I have one that I'm selling by the way.
If you want to run it as an external coil I'd suggest getting an MSD ignition & wire it in.

</TD></TR></TABLE> This is the way I did it but I used a MSD box works great this way.just keep the H22 Dizzy. And don't use a P13 ECU use a chip P28 ECU I just used a GSR ECU to get to the dyno. I know with the ExplicitSpeed mounts I have a 3/4 clearance under the hood.

and whats wrong with a P13? i used it with my swap in my EG and it ran great and got 47.3MPG while doing it
it would be easier to swap it to a B-series dizzy, it works fine and is alot easier, thats what i used on mine

in the crx the p13 is going to give me an egr code. thats why im going to go with a chipped p28 and do away with it.
And still no fire on the crx yet. im now getting a code 15 after moving some wires around trying to get it to crank.
