Default So my friend got an obd0 b16a...

Alright, I'm not an EF/CRX owner myself, but my friend is under a bit of a dillemma at the moment. He ordered the obd0 XSi b16 swap w/ axles, mounts, linkage, etc. The only thing he didn't buy was a conversion harness, which I told him he wouldn't need because he has a '91 HF w/ MPFI. So it was only a matter of running the required wires, or so I thought.

When I looked at it, the harness was mangled, spliced 16 ways from Sunday. Still somewhat usable, but discarded in favor of the complete Integra harness that came with it. A couple of spots hooked up and matched colors, and wiring diagrams point out the fact that the wiring is basically the same as far as pinout is concerned. But where the injector resistor box is, not the small green plug, but what is normally the 8-pin round plug, the Integra harness has a 14 pin plug. I could not trace these wires to their proper place through the service manuals (maybe I just can't read them right).

So that's where I'm at a loss for wiring... there is a wrecked 89 EF w/ a DPFI harness I could use in his yard, along with most of the MPFI harness out of the HF. He's adamant about using the Integra harness, but to me it seems like it would be a hell of a lot easier to convert the DPFI harness then run the wires for VTEC, etc. Is there anything I can do to salvage the Integra harness short of using the Integra interior harness? TIA.

Every swap guide you will ever read recommends this. Using a new harness is just alot harder...

Thanks man, I just needed something I could show him to prove my point. He likes to do things his way.. well, on to converting the DPFI harness..

Thanks Tippy.
