My transmission is weird, it shifts excellent, no grinds... but when shifting i get these real bad whirring and "shhhhhhhhhh" sounds and you can feel it in the ****.


Yesterday i went out with my friend and laucnhed a few times, my engine bay sounds like a bunch of stampeding horses... click click, click click click.... push in the clutch, its fine..

So i guess a bearing went??

Is it mandatory i replace it right away?

Also, i stil have warranty on my 01 until june.. i guess i should bring her in?? its annoying.. i hate these kind of quirks with cars, it makes me hate them and want to move on to something else real fast.

 

So you knew something was wrong with your transmission, but you "launched" the car anyway?

 

No, it was fine. I noticed it the next day, after the launchig.
This shouldn't be a big factor for the ITR sicne many people drag the hell out of theirs.

Your input shaft bearing is toast.

Stop driving it now and have it towed into the dealer before the transmission takes a ****.
