LOUD AZZ WHINING FROM DEAD STOP
A few days ago I started hearing this loud *** whine sometimes when I would get on it from a dead stop. At first i thought the tires might just be rubbin but I didn't see anything. Could it be the differential??

Does it do it when you take off from a stop, like as you're letting out on the clutch?
Have you replaced your clutch recently, flywheel?

Re: LOUD AZZ WHINING FROM DEAD STOP (******)
Not recently I haven't no... I am this weekend so maybe I'll find somethin loose i don't know. It kinda sounds like somethin is rubbin together becuz it gets louder as thr rpm's go up but as soon as i let off it stops completely. I can dump it from a roll and it not do this but when I dead stop it makes this noise most off the time.

I would have said that you were driving a mustang with a whipple charger on it but then I remembered that I was on Honda Tech
All joking aside let us know what you find out when you replace the clutch. You may want to consider a little bit of brake rub possibly? Just another thought.

are your belts tight (alt, ps, ac)? you should have about 1/2" of play in them or so. If they are too loose, the belts will squeal on startup and while accelerating.

Sounds like a belt to me though. Does it stay constant?
Oil level alright? Oil pressure? Have oil in the tranny?
I can't really think of anything else that would whine.
