powerslot plus rotors for type R
Does anyone have a set of the powerslot plus rotors on their Type R? I am running a 16x 7.5" wheel, and I am wondering if they will clear.

Power Slot now sell the product that was formerly known as a the "AEM Big Brake Kit". It's a useless product marketed to ricers who do not even have a need to upgrade their brakes.
What problem do you have with your current brakes that makes you want to upgrade? I'm sure we could figure out a better solution for you.

they will rip your pads apart. i had the aem big brake kit on an LS. looked pimp but the pads didn't after. i'm looking at just getting brembo blanks for my R.

Nonsense. I've heard people make those bogus claims about slotted rotors, wildly claiming that they "shave" the pads. Yeah, right. I've kept track of how long (how many miles, and how many track miles) the various types of rotors and pads have lasted on my car - solid faced, slotted, cross-drilled, and combo (drilled and slotted). There is no significant difference in the pad longevity among the various types.

Personally, I go through a couple of sets of front rotors/year. It is worse now because it's possible for even this moderately capable driver can reach a real 150 mph before the braking point for Turn One at Summit Point.
I don't wear the rotors out. The problem is that they rapidly develop stress fractures that turn into cracks. I'll usually shatter a rotor before it's anything close to actually wearing down.

My experience is very similar, except (a) I've never been to Summit Point, (b) I've learned to keep an eye on the rotors, and I replace them as soon as the cracks are significant enough to feel with the edge of my fingernail (typically when they are no longer than maybe half an inch) so they don't reach the point of shattering, and (c) I only go through about one set a year (~1200 actual track miles).

I have powerslots on right now. They are stock size, they are just fine. I would not bother with the Bigbrake kit, just get the stock size. They are good for the price, which is why I ended up with them. I needed new brakes right away, I had to get the first thing available and on the cheap. If you have money to spend, the Brembo are good too.
i donīt know if u were asking me, just in case http://www.project-mu.co.jp/e/e-index.html

Or, go down the street to your local Autozone and get their Duralast rotors. They'll last as long as any other one-piece rotor, and most Autozone stores have them in stock. And they're only $24.99 each.
