When was the last time you checked it. When your friend saw the smoke where you flooring the pedal? Honda's are notorious for burning oil. Sounds pretty normal to me.

Just check your oil as often as you can remember. What you are experiencing is fairly normal, some burn more than others and it is going to depend on your driving habits as well. Do a compression test; that way you are sure your motor is strong. If your numbers are close to 200 across all 4 you'll know that your internals are in good shape.

this is a bit general, but..

black smoke means you're running rich.

blue smoke means you're burning oil.

white smoke (don't confuse this for regular vapor) means coolant is getting into the combustion chambers.

how many miles since the oil change? do you know? were you hitting VTEC when he saw the puffs of black smoke? that may account for them.

you have GSR, when you drive in vtec and get up in the rpm's alot you will burn oil quicker than most other cars. I have a brand new motor and when i drive it hard alot I notice my oil goes away pretty damn quick. Nothing to worry about, just keep an eye on your oil all the time. I usually check mine a couple times a week.

If it's the first time you've used Mobil 1 in the car it may consume initially and then go down with more use. You also might want to check the valve cover gasket or cam plug to see if you're losing any there.

You can get a compression check at any shop. It doesn't take too long (30 minutes or so) or you could just buy the tool to do it yourself. Its fairly easy.
