UPDATE- so my motor was OBD1 BUT i have a OBD0 ecu and OBD0 wireharnes, does that mean I have the crappy dizzy also? I'm wanting to boost this summer would it be better for me the convert to OBD1 or should I leave it OBD0? what is needed to convert to OBD1 (can't find a good link)
original post-
ok i did a search and a got a little bit of information but not everything I was looking for.
i have a B18A1 motor in my ef hatch. now i wanted to know if the motor was out of a 90-91 or a 92-93. well i looked at the head and it was made in 92 so it was prolly in a 93 integra.
(thank you search button)
now the guy told me that either the motor was OBD0 or OBD1 and the harness was OBD1 or OBD0 but he had no clue about prolly anything. basically it sounded like to me now that the motor was OBD1 but the guy converted it to OBD0....
the ecu is a PR4. did they make that ecu OBD0 and OBD1 (i could only find that it is a OBD1 ecu)
so basically how in the heck do I tell if my engine is OBD0 or 1???
was this guy way off and I have a correct swap with a OBD1 engine and OBD1 ecu?
please help me, thanks

that's what i figured,

I don't know if this would work, but obd0 requires a resistor box for the injectors, obd1 does not. That might be another way to spot the difference.

it would have been easier to use an OBD-0 distributor and ecu with your civic harness since it's cheaper and easier than doing a complete harness swap. i'd bet that your ecu is obd-0. just look at the ecu and check if there's a little plastic lens on top of it.

well i was referring to the fact that the end harness plugs on obd0 cars are round and creamy and the 0bd1 cars ones are square and grey

i'll check the plugs right now,
as far as the lens in the ecu, the person must have really been into stickers add horsepower, but i'll see if i can get them off.

ok well the ecu has a clear plastic lens about the size of a nickel on it.
so it looks like the wireharness and ecu is OBD0
so would the dizzy be OBD0 also?
what would I need to cenvert it back to OBD1??
i think it would be worth it. looking to boost it in the summer, would it be better for me to leave it asis ir convert back to OBD1?

are there pretty much no benefits?
i mean I can prolly get a harness and ecu and dizzy for 100-150 bucks.
but if there aren't that many cons to OBD0 compared to OBD1 then I'll leave it.
little bit more searching and yes my wire harness has a resister box, which means easier install of DSM injerctors
