Default Car Shutting Off Randomly

Well title says it all, I would be driving down the road/interstate and the car would just shut off, i pull over to the side, and try to restart it, the car actually restarts but then turns off right away, after bout a minute it starts back up like nothing happens. then be driving normaly agian and kaboom thing happens agian, ahh....stressing me out, um any help would be awesome, thanks.

Things I've Did so far:
1. replace battery
2. replacing Disributor Rotor (as this post is posted)
3. Replace Ground wires i could find

After i replaced the ground wires and battery it stoped for awhile, but like if i drive the car all day or for a long time it shuts off like alot, its not over heating...um....thats all i can think of right now.

Ignition switch (watch the gauge cluster when it happens) or the ignitor/coil assembly.

I'm going along with Danny Deuce and Perfectionist.

I also would like to suggest that it may also be the ignition cylinder/tumbler thing. The ignition switch on my car was fine. I had removed it and put in another one, but the problem persisted, so I put back the original switch. Turns out the tumbler/cylinder thing had to be changed. Once that was done, the problem was solved.

Same problem happened to me, and it turned out being the fuel pump.
