Default Help looking for d16y7/y8 conversion HOW TO?

I am super newb when it comes to the intake manifold and all of its vacuum lines etc....I bought either a z6 or y8 intake manifold and was planning on swapping my y7 out. I started the project and I am just realizing how little I know. I have been trying to find a HOW TO thread that discribes in detail (maybe with pictures) the swap. I am a visual person, and would have no problem finishing this if I just new what was going on.....lol

sorry for such a lame post, just need some assistance from the techies.

thanks in advance

Dude, I have a Z6 in my car right now. I could snap some pics for you if that is what you are looking for.

I'm not sure of everything you'll get because it is on the car, but I can try.

I mainly need to see where all the vacuum lines go to and from....thanks a mill. also, there are two hoses that sit directly below the IM...one goes into some sort of canister and the other into a hose (like a t section) where do those plug into the mani.? thanks a lot

Ron, I got you PM but my pop-up blocker was having a fit so I thought I would put the answer here.

I've got somewhat of a busy schedule tomorrow, close of the business week ya know, so, I will try to post the pics up by tomorrow night.

I'll get some real detailed shots for you so you won't have any questions as to where those lower lines go to.

No comments about the dirty engine. compartment. Good trade?

This is on my car. I tried to get under the manifold for you, but the pics were pretty bad.

I hope this helps a little.
