Default car got slower?

for some wierd reason my car got slower after I took off my resonator and put a straight pipe. isnt it suppose to be faster? my ws2 now sounds like a oem type r exhaust all raspy.

when you took the resonator off you lost backpressure making the car seem slower...before you had more low end because of hte back pressure..now you have more top end which you don't feel really but your times would proboly show it maybe...i doubt its slower...it "feels" slower...

Resonators really do not impose much on the exhaust flow as long as the inside diameter is the same as the rest of the piping which on a world sport 2 it should be. By replacing with a straight pipe all you will notice is a more raspy tinny sound even on the best mufflers. I wouldn't go as far as to say your performance decreased but it definetly would not be a noticable increase..
