99-00 headlights- help!
they are not HID headlights.
You could modify the housings to accept HIDS, but that requires knowledge of how to do so.
Why not just buy a pre-made set?

You need something either that has a projector already built in or something that accepted HID as a factory accessory (see CTR headlights 99-00). My CTR's that I got from Password JDM are hid compatible. The reflector is way different from the stock ones and the little shroud that is normally around the bulb is gone.
Of course, CTR's aren't exactly the cheap route either.

i thought it was just plug and play to get hids???i didnt think you'd need to do anything with the projectors???my cousin just got some HIDS for his DB8 and i dont think he had to do any modifications it was just basically plug and play....some one correct me i'm wrong???
To do it the right way you should have the projector to control the cut off of the beam. You can get a HID kit that will work with the stock assembly or even that one that you are looking to buy, but the beam will not get cut off as clean and will blind oncoming traffic so I hear. Personally I was just going to get the HID kit for my stock headlights but I held off on that for now. Good luck!
You can run a hid conversion kit with oem headlights. you don't need projectors. a lot of highend model car ex. lincoln, lexus ect don't use projectors. i recomend hidplaza.com for the conversion kit. good price and free overnight shiping!

Those cars use a different reflector for the HID lighting. It's a totally different pattern from the Halogene reflector that non HID cars use.

The DB8 comes stock with projectors already, so it would be plug and play. Unfortunatly for us civic owners.. no civic to date has come stock with projectors. The CTR had a HID compatible headlamp reflector assembly (as I mentioned before), but that was it.
