I just want some ideas... could you post pics? Do they make like a cold box intake? Ive seen alot of them on integras. Mugen makes the teggy ones. Kind of want to see what you all think about your intakes and if you had any problems. Thanks.

I had an AEM CAI on my 1999 Accord V6 which i liked alot. they also have one to fit the type s tl. You can find the part number for it on AEM's website here http://www.aempower.com/

 

go with the aem v2, they sound bitchin and give a decent power gain

 

I checked all around and alot of the v2 descriptions say either for 3.2 v6 or non type s applications. I have the type s so I want to be sure something will fit.

 

Can any one post a pick of the v2 in their tl? This may sound dumb, but the aem website gives the part number for the v2 but it doesnt specify if its for a type s or not. Will the ones on the market fit the type s even though it says it wont? Why wouldnt it fit?

 

it "should" fit. I think on other intake setups the diameter of the pipe is just bigger between type s and non type s. The AEM intake i had on my 99 Accord V6 was the regular old one and looked just like the one for the regular tls but had the smaller 2 3/4 inch diameter while the tl ones had 3 inch diameter. The type s if it has a specific one for it would probably only be a 1/4 of an inch difference in diameter so if you get the regular tl one it should go on no problem and shouldnt hinder the performance at all, the only problem could be getting the rubber joint onto the throttle body because I think the type s has a slightly bigger throttle body but it should work anyways.

The non-S TL's and CL's had a single throttle body as they had front-brake actuated traction control (TCS). The -S models had a secondary throttle body that cut engine power (VSA) in addition to TCS -- this makes the -S throttle body assembly longer. The intakes, where they turn to couple with the throttle body, are of different lengths for this reason.
