are you sure that's the right tire size?
205/70/17 sounds like it's a larger tire diameter than stock...
shouldn't it be more like 205/35/17 or something?

UUMM... its rubbing becasuse your tires are WAYYY too big, i believe they come from the factory with 195/65/R14. With 17's you should be around a 205/40/R17 or maybe a 205/45/R17 at the most anything over 45 WILL rub.
there is a piece of rubber above the tire that pulls off. its got medal in it so it stays put pretty good. i got 205/40/17 and they used to rub until i took that piece off. my car is also dropped 2 inches im guessn urs is too

basically your side wall is ~144 mm and it should be about 82mm tall with that wheel setup your your car. So your side wall is 62 mm or ~2.45 inches too tall all the way around the tire. Making your overall tire diameter nearly 5" too tall. 17s on a lowered car rub as it is, without the extra 5" of tire.

Yeah, tires are to big. Either roll your fender, using the right tool, or the ghetto baseball bat. DO NOT use a hammer, I tried it today and it chipped the paint and didnt do ****. Im lowered about 1.5 on the rear with 205/45/16's. They rub, so im just gonna have the rear camber set back to around -2.0 or -2.5. Its around -1.1. Hopefully it will work.

205/70R17!?!? You USED CRV SUSPENSION??!? FRIGGIN DOPE!! That's the SECOND SCU (Sport Compact Utility) That I've heard of aside form the one I helped build..
Stock size for your car is 185/60R14 185*60/1270+14= 22.74 inch diameter..
recommended size would be 205/40R17 205*40/1270+17= 23.45 inch diameter..
205/40R17 is the smallest size I saw so far for a 17 inch wheel.. =/

Kinda sounds like a sagging spring combined with a blown strut.
When you turn right, your car tends to roll to the left, the faster you move and sharper the turn, more of the weight is transferred to the left rear wheel.

How about slowing down on the speed bumps, or getting rid of the fat girls..
If you have stock suspension and you rub with 205/40R17's you have a problem.. If it's hitting the inside of the fender metal and cutting the tire up, the wheel offset is wong for the car.. I've seen cars with a 2" drop riding on those, no problem..

yea post some pics of your car.... i mean really this has to be a joke, nobodys this stupid. If your tires rub, ethier move the material its rubbing on, or get a small tire/rim..
nobody makes a 70/17 guys... kids just slow..

Stock for a 95 civic ex is 185/60-14
the appropriate 17" size is 205/35-17 (-0.4% overall diameter)
205/40-17 (+3.2%) might also work.
There is no such thing as 205/70-17.
If you have rubbing check your offset.

it is hitting this plastic/mettal part on the fender. i looks like a exterior trip pannel or something to that effect. as stated 205 70 R17 was a typo it is 205 40 R17.

Are you talking about the quarterpannel edge trim on the inside of the rear wheel well? they line the edge of the quarter pannel metal that's rolled inside your wheel well.. Those are unnessicary.. Remove them by pulling them off by hand... They usually capture water and eventually make your car rust around there.. I removed mine a LONG time ago.. now the metal can "Breathe" and the water dries up rather than being trapped inside that trim strip..

Are you talking about the actual rubber strip or the actual metal? Because just removing the rubber wont do anything. Moving the metal isnt that easy.
