exhaust problem on a turbocharge accord
if there any problem if i turbocharge my car, and i keep the stock exhaust? does it lose power?, does the car doent move how it suppose to with the turbo?, Does it blow my engine?................the only thing i have notice is that on high cams, the clutch is like spinning, the RPM take more time to get to 6.5. However, when the turbocharge was not installed, the RPm used to go to 6.5 quick.
any sugestion, how many inches do i need to install if i do?

with a turbo setup, you want a free flowing exhaust. most people recommend having 3" piping, so im going to say go with that. and yes, you probably are losing power if you have stock exhaust with that turbo. something to do with something surging(sp???) the turbo and it not being able to spool up like it needs to... i think...
excessive back pressure will:
increase turbo/manifold/engine temp
increase chance of denotation
decrease in power big time
increase spool time
yeah, it's pretty bad

did you do the turbo yet or are you just asking for general question. my suggestion is to find out more info on the turbo before you do it, it's a lot lot lot of technical, mechanical work and upkeep. you really have to know what you're going.
