hey whats up everyone, well i have a friend who is selling me a vafc1 for $80, the only thing is that he has it hooked up to a single cam vtec motor. I have a gsr motor and i'm thinking of getting but if i do would i have to reset the program he has or would i just keep it the way it is and hook it up and if i do have to reset it and reporgram it would i have any trouble with it later on in the future.

 

I wouldn't take a VAFC that was tuned on a single cam motor and use it straight up on a GS-R.

When you get it, perform an initialization to clear the settings. This zeroes them out so that no change is applied to the MAP sensor, which makes it look as if the VAFC just isn't even there.

Apex-i's website has the manuals available for download. Inside the manual it describes how to set it up and re-initialize everything back to 0.
