tire weight for s-03?
I'll let you know in about a week, just order 195/50 today. And tire rack did call and ask what car I was going to run them on to make sure I was not "under tirering" the car. Told them is was a custom tube frame track race car only
my best freind just put the azenis on after wearing through his s03's
grip wise the azenis are far better. the steering feel is not as good though
save some money and just get the azenis

Just got my set of 195/50/15 S-03s from tire rack today. I'm going to take them to work and weigh them on a postage scale tomorrow. I'll let you know what I find.
Edit: One thing I forgot to mention - the 195/50/15 S-03 has the same section and tread width as most 205 tires, so their weight should really be compared to other 205/50/15 tires.

I just weighed my 195/50/15 s-o3's and they were 20.68 pounds. A little on the heavy side, but it doesn't surprise me considering these tires have a 7.2" tread width and super thick side walls.

Pretty heavy if you care about that sort of thing. They have a really stiff sidewall. I have them in 215/45/17 and they are nearly 24lbs. For comparison, that's about 15% heavier than the last 2 sets of 17" tires I've had.
They are amazing tires though. I autoXed on them for the first time today...

What are some impressions pf these tires? How do they compare to the RE010 and azenis? How are they in the rain and dry? Livin in oegon, I need a tire that will perform in both rain AND dry.
EDIT: and what about compared to the Toyo T1-S, Those are supposedly great in the rain, but I know little else about them

I've run the tires for about 650 miles total and 300 of which were track miles on my M3. The ride is smooth and quiet. Great street tire. One of the track days was a rain day so I give these a HUGE
they were predictable didn't hydroplane at 100+ through a few puddles and all in all I couldn't ask for more. In the dry they are good turn in is nice and sharp, offer good audio feedback at the limit, they do get a bit squirmy when they get hot though. I highly recommend these for a dual purpose car that only has 1 set of wheels. For a street tire I don't think that you could ask for much more. I have 225/45 16 on my car.
