Default Home made turbo kit?

hey i know this is the wrong forum for this question but this is the only forum where i will get at good response... my question is does a home made turbo kit differ in performance and potential of a turbo kit. i started looking for parts for a homemade kit and the price dropped more than 2300 dollars of the kit i was going to purchase from Garrett turbos. if any body has any experience with a kit or homemade turbo kit please post your experiences. any help or info would be great.

Basically "homemade" turbo kit refers to you buying parts and mixing and matching parts to get the results that you want to reach your goals. You'll find that most people around here don't buy turbo kits, but they collect and build their own.

not at all, you actually gain performance as long as you buy the right parts for your setup

the trick to it is research that you put into the project. in the end you'll save money and get what you want.

I had a buddy do a homemade turbo kit on his car and he had oil leaks for a while and I purchased a GReddy kit and don't have a leak one! I preferred to get a kit at first and when I upgrade I'll piece me one together!

I personally drop by this part of the forum every 2 weeks or so to see if it has cleaned up and after about the 6th time of saying you know you would get better and more acurate responses in " " of the forum i got tired of it... It gets annoying
