Default SI hitch

I want to put a hitch on the back of my new SI. This is to haul my mountain bike around. Everyone lists a hitch for the civic coupe. saying it will not fit the SI. What is different at the rear of the car to make them different. From pics I see I can not see a difference.

Help me out.
Anthony

hhmm... if anything the Si would pull something more than non-Si.. there really is no difference on the rear end of things

if you read your owners manual it says that the si is not designed to haul any sort of trailer that is why they dont list a application for the si

I am not hauling a trailer. Didn't you read? I said a mountain bike. That with the rack must weigh in at all of 50 lbs. How can they make a hitch for the regular civics but no the SI. The Si make more power, if anything the SI should be able to tow and the regular should not.

I ordered one anyway and I am just hoping it fits.

Just to let everyone know, I got the hitch from hiddenhitch. It bolts right in without any problems.

arrontriniti85, that is just like that I am using.

I hate putting things on top of the car. Especially a bike. One slip and the roof of the car is done. Plus small rocks, mud and other debree will be all over the roof. A snowboard is different than a bike though
