questions for the G23 swap
so i spun a rod bearing in my h22 due to nitrous. i am now going to probably do the G23 swap in my car. my questions are how are they all motor, and by that i mean are the decently quick? how well do they do with boost on completely stock internals? do they bolt right up to the preludes? are these hard swaps and do the h22 heads bolt right on to the f23 block? sorry for all the qeustions guys but im just really curious.
Yep do a search for his threads, also check this thread for the minor differences in mount requirements for the F23 block, it's a little different than the F22 block..

thats a butt load of quetions, results are very good almotor, piratemcfred for 200whp and 183 wtq all motor..
boosting on stock internals is just like any other honda motor, they have their limitations, just changing the head on a h or f series doesn't make the bottom end any stronger
yes they bolt right up to preludes
depending on what chasis your swaping into makes it hard or not, for me all i did was swap a different block into a prelude and it was easy, everything prelude i already had because it went into a prelude!! if your going into an accord or other body its more work ..
and yes the h22 head just bolts up, as long as you block 2 oil ports.

im building this motor also... so far i have
h22 head (no manifolds)
complete 98 f23vtec motor
i was asking pirate about custom pistons(should be able to getem the end of april)...first who to call.?second specs 4 11.5 cr. and i want to rev it to 8k if possible? if i get the pistons made to rev to75k would the bottom need to be balanced?
