rust-cleaning preferences
i have a 90 crx si and i have some rust building on both sides of the rear quarter panels, and on the rear hatch. what are some methods you guys use to get rid of rust and protect against it happening again?
1) sand the paint off, sandblast it, bondo, repaint (for the hatch)
2) cut out square/rectangle piece of metal containing the rust, weld in identical size piece of sheetmetal and grind the welds until smooth, then repaint (this is for the quarter panels)
3) or you can get the acid stuff (im not too familiar with it) that will eat the rust off, and then use touch up pain until you can get it redone
hope this gave you an idea
