we've got a thermal 3" exhaust on a vortech sc'd itr... it's too damn loud...

does anyone sell a baffle to quiet the bitch down?

i tried the baffle from my apexi n1 and it doesn't fit.....

 

Thermal sells a baffle, they sold me one for my TR 3". It bolts in the tailpipe when I want to be quiet, then I remove the bolt and fish it out with a coat hanger when I'm done being quiet.

 

Do you have to drill the muff somewhere to install the baffle?

 

Mine came with a little hole in the exhaust tip, right next to the muffler.

 

Really? Never noticed. I'll have to go look at mine. Still in the box.

I'm thinking a 3 inch exhaust at all points is gonna get to me. so the option to quiet it down occasionally is nice.

I couldn't find this thing on thermal's website. i emailed them for info

 

I got an email back from thermal and they told me they do not offer any silencer

 

well if a 3" exhaust is to loud for you, then why did u buy one? in all honesty, just buy a 3" resonator and weld it in there. it will quiet it down alot

It came with the car smart guy. It's not for me, its the wifeys car and she wants it quieter..... the blower obviously doesn't help in the low dB department either...

It also already has a resonated section.

I guess I'll just weld a baffle up.
