Clutch wont REALEASE
I went to start the car today and hit the CLutch and it went straight to the floor. For the past couple of days the cars been making a rattling noise in first and second but I just figured it was the heat shield went....
First, check the hydralic clutch reservoir. You may have a slow leak and ran out of fluid. Refill it, bleed the system (via the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder) just as you would the brakes; and see if your pedal returns.
If still no good, check if anything came adrift (not likely, but you never know)
If eveything appears ok, I would now suspect the clutch pressure plate

it would be a hell of a lot easier for all of us who are trying to help you if you could let us know year and model ,,,you see . up to 1989 accords had a clutch cable if it broke , pedal goes to floor,, starting in 90 ,, it is hydraulic ,, if it is 90 or newer most likely you got a leak,, most likely clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder
put the year and model in your signature

if indeed it is an isuue with the clutch master or slave, go to this site, it has step by step instructions on how to replace and bleed system,,

ok i figured out its the slave cylinder but I cant figure out how to get the bolt that connects to the line off???? I tried wrenchs and it didnt work and I dont want to strip it....Is there a way to get the line to come out before taking the bolt out????thanks
You need what is called a Flare Nut Wrench. It's much like an open end wrench, but is much deeper and engages Five (5) of the Six (6) sides of the nut; thus avoiding rounding it off.
