CEL...
First off 2001 Accord LX F23A1 Auto
Check engine light lit up at about 35K, so I took the car to vatozone to have a scan tool put on it. Two codes came up, for the same thing, "low catalyitic efficiency"
So I heard that dirty O2 sensors could be the problem, so I removed them both to clean them, the one downstream of the cat was carboned, and had small particles of crap in it (they looked to be metallic) I reinstalled them and the light was still on till the next day when it turned off on its own. I thought I had fixed it till today when the light came back on again...
Soo...how long does the emissions warranty on my car last? What should I do, replacing the cat is gona be $$$ or I could delete it and get a MIL eliminator kit (if there are any for my cars)
What to do..
