Best car you can get for the price. Some may say Camry. It depends which one you like more. To me the Camry is more of an "old guy" car. Camry=cushy ride. Accord=feel for the road (sporty).

It drives great, but the only thing I dislike is the changes they made to the rear on the 06. But the LED tail lights were a good idea, just my personal opinion. I like the 03-05 better.

I have a 2006 CM8 6-6 HFP Coupe. I bought it 12/21/2005 and already have 9500 miles on it!
No real problems. It's a double wishbone car, handles great. The HFP parts are quite cheap and easily available. It'll do 0-60 in under 6 seconds, which will be a little bit of a surprise to you.
My car was $26,000 out the door, including some options, tax, title, tag, processing, everything. The availability of Honda marketing money now might make it possible to get one a little cheaper. http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/g....html
My friend bought a 2006 6-6 Sedan at the same time, and he also has no regrets at all. Solid, reliable, good performing car.
Another thing that'll surprise you is that you really can get 30 miles per gallon if you're careful. The secondaries open at 4000 RPM and the 3.0 motor comes on the cam at 5000. The trick is to accelerate briskly up to but not crossing 4000, and remembering that the motor does fine in sixth gear at 50 miles per hour.
This is with premium fuel, which dyno tests appear to say gives you about 10 HP more after several tanks, and it also allows you to use sixth gear at very low speeds. With 87 octane, you will get a little worse fuel economy, and a little less HP.
The 10 HP with 93 octane is proved and documented. If you're trying to do this, remember that it takes <u>several</u> tanks for the computer to find the HP, but it only takes <u>one</u> tank of 87 octane for the computer to panic and change the fuel map and spark advance to the lower performance profile.
Now...if you're a Civic/Integra/RSX kind of person, and you hinted you might be, I should warn you that there are moments that you know that you are driving a larger car. It handles well, and is very manueverable, but you will every once in a while realise that this car is bigger than an RSX or Integra!
You mentioned wanting an RSX. Why can't you get one? They are still available all over the place, for a good price.
If you just need a car with an accessible back seat, you could look at a TSX, which is available for around the same price as the Accord. The Accord 6-6 is a better deal than the TSX 4-6, however.

George: did you price out the differences between the TSX and the V6 6MT?...it seems like you got one hell of a deal for your accord....how much was it when you included all the HFP stuff?
I'm looking to replace my accord in probably 2 years, and plan on getting a low milege used TSX. I haven't driven either the 7th gen or the TSX (sat in both a billion times; thank god for the auto shows
), but ive heard that the TSX is much more nimble.

Yes. The Accord just seemed like the better buy. If the TSX's Bluetooth had worked 100% w/the Verizon phone (it did work 100% w/the Cingular phone), I might've been more swayed toward the TSX.
What's really surprising is how very closely the Accord 6-6 compares to the driving experience of the Acura TL 6-6, and for thousands less.

$378 for the HFP suspension. $230 for the HFP front lip. I am toying with the idea of either the 18x7 HFP wheels or the 17x7 HFP wheels, but I haven't decided on that, yet. The OEM 6-6 wheels are unique to the 6-6 and they are attractive.

De gustibus non est disputandem, but do yourself a favour and make sure you drive the Accord 6-6 before you firmly commit to the CL9.
Both the USDM TSX and the USDM Accord are scheduled for complete new designs for 2008 so the choices could be very different.

I have the coupe V6-6, I went with the HFP options, I have the silver star wheels 17", I was told the HFP 18" would not fit the offset is different.
Front spoiler and rear spoiler.

The Silver Star wheels are good looking and I understand why you have them. They were "<u>the</u>" HFP wheels before 2006 and were also the A Spec wheels for the TSX.
The 18" wheels are +55 and will work if you're careful w/the tyre selection and don't dump the car on the ground.
The 17" wheels are +45 and work with up to 235 section tyres and you're right they'd be the clear choice for most people.

V6 MT Coupe! </TD></TR></TABLE>
i test drove the regular v4 4 door..
Dam the car was so smooth, it had tons of power going up this one steep hill the dealer told me to go up. ALso on the freeway that thing picks up very nicely and i barely applied gas!. THe sound system was pretty good, good base and it was very clear(no static or anything). The thing that turns me off is the price. i cant beleive how ridiculously the price for accord went up. It was a regular lx and it was marked at 23,5xx. But anyways i thought the car was smooth as butter.
overall ill give it 8.5 because of the price
didnt accords use to go for about 19k for the lx model??

People don't buy Accords because they're cheap. You get what you pay for. You can definitely get the car for less than $23500, with a little haggling.

i really want to get an accord...they look fast...and they have vtec to. they can also seat 5 peepz which is really a plus in my world. does anyone have a nice accord for sale...if u do plz message me. i really want one.
the newer coupe really throw me off with those trunk leds same with the sedan just my opinion but i think they look like ****. now the 03-05 coupe is beautiful i was very close to buying one but as my first car it would be a little extravagant (or so my parents thought lol) so i wound up with a 98. accords are great cars in my opinion they are so smooth driving as for a rsx thats more of a little fast car. and i personally enjoy the ride of an accord so much better then any of the other cars honda makes, as for the TSX i have yet to drive in or drive one so i wouldnt be able to help you there. i just think the accord is a great car.
oh and as for the guy up top bickering about the price of an accord lx, what other car on the road can promise you 200,000 miles on the engine with roughly no problems. hondas are worth every penny put into them.

The LED are part of the safety programme.
They are affordable and never burn out, and the split second extra advantage you get because they're instant-on will supposedly safe a few hides.
