Well, this guy I know was not able to convince his pops to let me use a garage with a lift and air tools.....so I really need help finding someone that I can pay or partially pay and work with to swap my engine for me.

Car has been off the road for about 9 months now and I am so F*$#@ing frustrated right now, I can't stand it. I am in the Northern VA area and after calling a few shops locally, no one seems to want to get involved....

straight swappin an H23 out for a new H22A4....


Anyone???

 

i say go for it your self, that is such an easy swap its not funny, a vtec wire is all that should be needed to add as long as your 22 is obd1, and you could hook that up lare. . a lift and tools, even a beginner should be able to do this in a days time, have confindence, go for it, post up when confused,

take the engine harness completely off the h23, snap it up to the 22, unbolt power steering a/c, axles and tranny linkage, then drop that bitch on the floor, lower the car on to the 22, bolt it up, plug it in, check for leaks etc. and bam.

 

I want to do the work myself, just have no place to actually do the work. I already found a place that rents lifts for the day and have every part.....

In fact I would prefer to help with the swap, just running out of options and need my car back!!!

 

h22a4 is ODB2 gonna be more than just a vtec wire

 

The car is OBD - 1 but the block going in is gonna be OBD2....staying OBD-1

 

I'll do it. Won't come out right though, but I can physically get it in the car

 

I'll do it if you drive it to New Hampshire.

 

Only way I am getting to NH with the car is to push it there.

 

I live in Southern Maryland, and a friend of mine has a garage that we do all of our work in... we love working on cars, so if you are in dire need of a place, maybe we could work out a weekend...
