Default Local muffler shops with mandrel piping?

Are there any local Seattle area shops that do mandrel catback piping? I'd go to Bud's, but they only do crush. Thanks

I don't know about Seattle, but I called around to a bunch of shops in Portland and they all said that they know of NO muffler shops that mandrel bend pipes, or that can do a mandrel bent setup.

I called probably 15 or more shops and they all said that muffler shops don't do that sort of thing because the mandrel bender is so expensive.

I ended up buying a kteller kit and having them weld it up for me.

Just a heads up, you might not find any shops that can do it for you. I was pretty frustrated after spending so much time calling around only to discover that no one has a mandrel bender or knows of any shop that does.

Good luck.

the only reason they probably refused was because he didnt have a cat and they were going to make him buy a cat. I know down at stans they are really strict about having a cat in there.

My buddy had a full stock exhaust, stock muffler, oem cat. He even had a carsound high flow cat with him ready for it to be installed with the new exhaust he wanted. From what I heard, the guy took a glance at my buddies civic and said "sorry we can't do that for you".

Is it mandrel? How much did you pay?

I just want 2.5" piping with a 22" resonator and oval muffler. It'll cost me about $400 from kteller (piping: $185, resonator: $65, muffler: $75, shipping/install: $75) when installed and everything which is not what I want to spend.. I am considering a cheapo crush bent system or maybe by current 2.25" crush bent system will be fine for 200-220whp?

no shop will remove a cat. it's trouble. there's this shop in white center, he rewelded my downpipe and did a magnaflow high flow cat for me. he's pretty well priced i think. but he does mig welding. ANYWAYS...if you're shooting for 200-220hp (on sohc i'm assuming), 2.25 crush bent is more like 2inch and 2.5 is more like 2.25....

any mandrel place, i'm sure is gonna be 300+...that's what i've seen in most quotes when i just stop in to ask. 2.25 mandrel or 2.5 crush...22" res and es oval muffler would be ok. i'm a canister kind of guy, but whatever you like. if u want. you can just get an ecutout

I wasn't going to remove the cat. I have a carsound 2.5" high flow ready to be installed. I guess I'll just go with the kteller..

Nah. I've ran without a cat before and it sounds like absolute **** from 2.5-3.5k.

I'm trying to keep my car as low key as possible.

you'll know what i mean once your turbo is on.

i'm running on a test pipe now. (since yesterday lol) and i can't even tell a difference from high flow cat to test pipe. my exhaust use to be pretty loud n/a, but since the turbo came on. it clears a lot of the sound. you'll see
