I had D2's on my old EG (the gold one)....and getting them again for my DC2. Me and all my friends run them, and so do many of the locals. I've yet to hear of any problems with D2 products, and don't think I will.

D2 = from me!

a lowered car is a lowered car. There's really no reason to see a picture. I can tell you i'm lowered on zeal function DD and you would believe me if I posted a picture.

IMO, D2 are built poorly. the price is perfect for what they are tho.

D2 is the APC of the coilover world.

I dont need to run them. I just know that they're monotubing and not inverted. so they're trash IMO. It's called research buddy. it's the same reason why i know apc and aerospeed parts are trash. btw, I do know a few people that do and it's not as great as everyone make them out to be. I daily and track on 10kg/12kg springs on my coilovers son

most of you guys don't even make 100% use of these coilovers anyways. even had them corner balances? haha

for daily, just get some koni yellow and gc.

These coilovers are made by one company and are rebadge. apc puts their name on these coilovers too. so does a few other companies.
NEX coilover: http://search.ebay.com/search/...gory0=
Megan Racing coilover: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1
K-sport: http://www.ksportusa.com/products/index.html
I wouldn't be surprised that password:jdm puts their name on these coilovers too.

No one wants to tell everyone this. it's a secret.

Nay sir!

Please bring some proof to the table if you are going to make a claim like that. I think your just a brand ***** and love to hear yourself talk. I've yet to hear of a D2 coilover cracking, seizing, coming apart, etc...
Omni on the other hand.....just search and see for yourself. If you did, then maybe you'd see that Omni = the APC of the coilover world.

topsecret, you don't seem to understand anything.
just because something doesn't break, doesn't mean they're good or bad.
the design on these coilovers are junk "compared" to other coilovers.

It's like comparing rota wheels to volks.

Sure both works, like i said, they're perfect for 600 dollars. which is what level they're at.

I've been saying Omni are junk from day one. I bet you think they're junk after seeing that thread.

I was considering the D2 setup, but I am opting for the Tein Super Street kit instead. Tein has a decent reputation, and they have been around a long time. I have a few friends who rock D2 setups though for their dailys and they don't seem to have any problems so who knows.

im pretty much in the same predicament as you. I also want tein superstreets because i know they're awesome but to me, saving 500 bucks sounds good but i'd rather have a better product even if i have to pay more

Even if you had your coilovers corner weighed what makes you think you're even driving them to their full potential??? How big a man of you to be using 10k/12k springrates oh my. Another thing, a company called VH racing makes these, which is the same company that makes the APEX EXV coilovers.

To my understanding cars with double wishbone suspensions do no typically run inverted dampers since the shock is not load bearing, ie Civics, FD RX-7's. You might want to make sure that 240's dont get inverted dampers for the fronts.

Usually on FC RX-7's they'll have inverted dampers on the fronts (Macpherson fronts), but non inverted on the rear(multi link rear suspension).
