what are the benefits/advantages of getting these over stock sized valves?

I'm not sure, but the only that might come in mind to me is that it'll raise compression slightly.

i wouldn't suggest them. we already have a small combustion chamber with valve shrouding as it is. so if you get bigger valves your going to have to unshroud them and that means taking material off near the water jackets in the head which can boil the coolant or worst case it could break through.

Increase the size of the curtain (I think that's the correct term), and thus the amount of volume that can flow in.

See the forced induction area... this is not needed on a NA motor...
