NooB Question JDM and USDM
Can someone explain to me what JDM and USDM are? I've seen people talk about JDM parts vs USDM parts. I always though JDM was an aftermarket parts company
Also I know my 96 Civic is an EK. What's an EK4, EK5, etc?
Is there a FAQ somewhere with a list of abreviations for NooBs like me?

haha, anything that is JDM is 300% better, so it's more than 100 bucks.

USDM - US Domestic Market
As I understand it there are specific model Hondas built exclusivly for sale and use in Japan. I assume that there are certain local regulations as well as style and taste that they are intended to conform to.
In the US the JDM parts seem to be somewhat of a collectible/desirable item since they are different and rare. I guess the draw is that you could be the only person for miles that has a different (JDM) cup holder, for example in your Civic.

ek refers to the chassis code, im assuming your car isnt RHD, and your not from japan/europe so your chassis code should be Ej (something) you can find it on your vin number
