What grade of fuel do stock ITR's use?
I searched and it was useless and then I went to FAQ's and didn't see it. I have a friend over here in Germany who just puchased a 99 ITR and she is trying to run regular unleaded gasoline in it. I told her that I am pretty sure that it should only use premium/super unleaded with the high revving B18C and all. She has been taking the car up to 130 mph on the autobahn and I just don't want her to blow the engine on her new investment. Thanks for answering a simple question. ....puts flame suit on.

Thanks. Thats all I needed.
Also, is there any major difference between a B18C5 and a B18C6 motor?
My friend's ITR has the latter engine in it and I just wanted to make sure she isn't getting ripped in some way. The car came completely riced out with altezza tails, chrome rims, huge steel wing, no name cai, custom canister exhaust, and the cheapest paint job on a horrible body kit. The car needs major massaging, but the price seemed right for $6500.

U.K. and Euro-spec. cars use the B18C6 version of the 1797cc engine:
Compression ratio = 11.1:1
Max power = 190PS @ 7900rpm
Max torque = 178Nm @ 7300rpm
Unleaded petrol 95 octane or higher
US-spec motors are designated as the B18C5, and the Australians use a B18C7 on their ITRs. JDM 98specRs simply have "B18C" as the motor designation.

Bastid. We only get 91 here.

8 gallons 93 octane and 2 gallons of 100octane a week.
I found that my car was the most responsive with a full tank of 100 but that cost me a whopping $60 and it got to be expensive

Thats all I use too with the JRSC tune, but IIRC the ITR only requires 91.
