anyone has this experience??
did your valve bend????

i was driving around 60km@under 3000rpm.
how many chance my valve would get bent??
i searched on google...some ppl said..dozen of honda car's valve woudn't get bent when the TB broke..
i just don't want to get ripped off from a mechanician if my valve is still good...and they lied..and have it fixed for another few hundred bucks!!~

so pls give some advise!thx!!

if u dont notice any nocking sound of valves than u havnt bent any of ur valve, if u here valves nock than that not good. u have to get u valves checked and replaced. valves arent that expencive. my brothers friend had to change his ITR valves do to miss chift, (exhaust valves if i remember right), and it was like 200 or somthing. but agin thats a b18c5 engine. should be chipper for ur motor

put a new belt on and cross fingers. thats the fastest thing to do. you wont do any more harm if you did bend them anyway.

just depends on how you were driving. you can try to do a search to see if you engine is a interference engine if it is then most likely, if not then there still a chance. i dout its interference. but your best bet and cheapest why of finding out is just replacing the timing belt. in my experience im pretty sure your okay. timing belt should cost your around 40 bucks at the dealer 50 at the most but i dout 50 i usually pay around 38 at honda dealer. i also sey go to a different mechanic that guy sounds like a jerk.

so everythings is okay thats good to hear. i was going to say if you had the car in gear still after it happened (and continued to roll) then any valves open could potentially be hit by the pistons.
