i have a question ?
i have 97 civic ex and i have a doubt about it.i changed the oil on it yesterday but i noticed when putting the oil on into the head air came out from the oil hole where oil is poured. what could it be if air is coming out of my head from the oil hole?
...so air is coming out of the hole as you're pouring oil in? sounds like displacement of air to me, should have paid attention in high school science class I guess

What do you mean, "when on". When you have the car running? Did you put the oil cap back on?

wat??? hahaha, air has to come out bro, that shows that shows that everything is good. it should blow out some air when the car is on, and the oil cap is off, and u got ur hand on top of it, and u feel the air.
so thats not a problem.
its actually good.

Guys, correctme if I'm wrong, but isn't this caled "blow-by"? I know on Chevy V-8' s they had a PCV valve or a Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve that would re-route this air to your car's intake.
