Is the Falken Azenis a good drag racing tire?
I just got a good deal on a pair of Falken Azenis 215's. I did some research on them and most people say that they are heavy and carry a stiff sidewall therefore making it unfit for 1/4 mile racing. Well that is all what i want it to be used for but need some input on the performance of this tire as a drag racing tire from people who have used it. Need to make my decision in about three hours before they are sold to someone else, inputs needed.
I can't complain about the azenis
. drop it to 15-20psi and a nice 2nd or 3rd gear burn out and you should hook up depending on horse power level.

I don't think they are good drag tires. Sidewall is pretty stiff. Sure you can lower the pressure in them enough to get you 2.0 60' times, but wouldn't you lose some speed once you get rolling due to the extra resistance?

Yes, better than any other street tire.
Note that the original question was asked about the Falken Azenis RT-215, which has been discontinued, but has been replaced by the equally supersticky Falken Azenis RT-615, available at Vulcan.
Do not confuse this with other tires with the Falken Azenis name; for example, the Falken Azenis ST-115 is not at all appropriate for those wanting the ultimate in dry traction.
