I own a '87 Honda Accord LX. As of late, my dash lights (gauge cluster, climate control) lights have been going out completely. I thought it was just affecting my interior lights when my brother told me last night that my tail lights and parking lights were out as well.

This is intermitent. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I've ruled out the fuse because of this. I'm thinking it may be the dimmer switch, I know the dimmer switch controls whether or not the gauge/climate lights work, but does it also allow the tail/parking lights to work? If not, what else could be causing this? Thanks.

 

Headlight switch is going out. Had the same problem, it causes evey light to flicker.

I just replaced this a couple months ago.. Maybe I got a bad one? I'll pick one of those when I goto the pull apart tomorrow.

I also might add, sometimes it usually goes on/off when I hit bumps going freeway speeds. And since it started happening a couple weeks ago EVERYTIME I start my car several hours later (usually when I goto work the next day) it works fine.

 

I also might ad, my headlights are not effected by this. When my dash/climate/parking and tail lights go out; my headlights remain on.

 

Anyone?
